Viewing VIN Recall Information in CollisionLink Shop

KB Article #6711

If a VIN has a recall notice on it, a VIN recall alert will appear for the vehicle in CollisionLink Shop.

VIN recall notifications will be available for the following OEMs in the following countries:

  • GM: U.S. and Canada
  • Ford: U.S. and Canada
  • Mercedes-Benz: U.S.
  • Stellantis: U.S. and Canada (Chrysler, Dodge, Eagle, Fiat, Jeep, Plymouth, Ram)
  • Toyota: U.S. and Canada

Notes:

  • VIN recall information displayed will be for the specific vehicle.
  • Provided VIN recalls will always be open recalls.
  • The shop's country determines which country's data will be used to identify a recall. If a vehicle crosses country lines (e.g. between Canada and the U.S.), the VIN recall will not display. For example, if a vehicle with a Canadian VIN has a VIN recall but is being repaired in the U.S., the VIN recall notification will not display.
  • VIN recall information is refreshed every 30 days. If a recall for the vehicle was taken care of within those 30 days, there is a chance that the recall will still display in CollisionLink Shop.
  • For any questions related to the VIN recall, contact your preferred dealer.
