Setting Up Your Estimating System to Send/Export Orders to CollisionLink Shop

There are two steps to setting up your estimating system to send/export orders to CollisionLink Shop. 


Step 1: Locating the Export File Destination

Note: Mitchell Connect, Mitchell Estimating (UltraMate), and Mitchell Repair Center can all be found under the Mitchell tab.

  • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

    To locate the export file destination:

    1. Open your Audatex estimating system.
    2. From the Work List window, click Setup from the left side panel.

    3. Under Profile Name, click the profile name of the body shop.

    4. Click Options from the left side panel.

    5. Click Export from the left side panel.

    6. The export path will display in the Export Path 1 field. Write this path down. You will need to configure this path into the Estimate Uploader Tool. Do not change this path!

      1. Note: If the Export Path field is blank, click Browse and locate the export folder. 
    7. Verify CIECA 2.60 displays in the Format field.
    8. Check the Always Export box. 
    9. Click Work List to return to the main window.

    To locate the export file destination:

    1. Open your Audatex Qapter estimating system.
    2. Click Preferences from the left side panel.

    5. Click Download CIECA to download the program.

    10. Locate and select the folder on your computer or server where your EMS files should be exported. Click OK.

      1. Write this path down. You will need to enter it in the Estimate Uploader. Do not change this path!
    11. Click Update.
  • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system on your desktop or via cccone.com.

    Click an option below to get started:

    • Users can now import and export workfile data from CollisionLink Shop via cccone.com.

      Notes:

      • You must have the following security permission to access EMS and Workfile Copy settings: Enable import/export EMS and workfile copy on cccone.com.
      • Import and export settings are specific to the logged in user and the device used.
      • The CCC ONE ™ Data Transfer Application is a Windows application and is only supported on Windows devices.

      To download and install the CCC ONE ™ Data Transfer Application:

      1. Go to Settings, then select Data Connections.
      2. Click the Configure button for EMS and Workfile Copy settings.
      3. Click the Download Now button.
      4. Launch the application installer when download is complete, then click the Install button.

      Configuring the Data Transfer Application

      When installation of the data transfer application is complete, configure the application for import and export.

      Note: The Transfer Key is a unique ID used by the data transfer application to import and export data. You can obtain a new Transfer Key by clicking the Regenerate button in EMS and Workfile Copy settings.

      To configure the data transfer application:

      1. Go to EMS and Workfile Copy settings on cccone.com.
      2. Select the Generate link to get your Transfer Key.
      3. Select the copy button in the Transfer Key field.
      4. Open the CCC ONE ™ Data Transfer Application.
      5. Click the Paste from clipboard link, then Save changes.
      6. Your data transfer application is ready to import and export workfile data.

      Configuring Import & Export Settings

      Now that the data transfer application is configured, you'll need to specify the directory paths used to import and export data.

      To configure import directories:

      1. Go to EMS and Workfile Copy settings on cccone.com.
      2. Set the switch for Import workfile estimate data to Enabled.
      3. Check or uncheck the Clear directory after import box to automatically clean-up the directory of imported files.
      4. Click Add directory.
      5. Select the file Import Type.
      6. Specify the Directory file path and click OK.
      7. Save changes to EMS and Workfile Copy settings.

      To configure export directories:

      1. Go to EMS and Workfile Copy settings on cccone.com.
      2. Set the switch for Export workfile estimate data to Enabled.
      3. Check or uncheck options for Prompt to export EMS.
      4. Click Add directory.
      5. Select the file Export Type.
      6. Specify the Directory file path and click OK.
      7. Save changes to EMS and Workfile Copy settings.

      Note: When Export Type is EMS 2.01 Estimate you have additional settings to configure:

      • Location - EMS will be exported only for the shop location specified.
      • Insurance Company - EMS will be exported only for the insurance company specified.
      • Vendor - Allows you to configure different directory paths specific to vendor.
      • Exclude customer information - Excludes customer information from the EMS export.
      • Redact VIN - Retains only the last 8 characters of the VIN.
    • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

      To locate the export file destination:

      1. Open CCC ONE.
      2. In the upper right corner, click Configure and choose Machine Settings.

      3. From the Machine Settings window, click File Export.

      4. Choose EMS 2.01 Estimate from the Export Type drop-down.

      5. Choose All Companies from the Insurance Company drop-down.

      6. Directory will be listed.

      7. If one is not listed, you will need to add one: 
        1. Click the button next to the empty Directory.

        2. Use the Browse For Folder window to select the hard drive or server where estimate files should be saved. (For example, C:\ is the most common drive letter for a hard drive.)

        3. Click Make New Folder.
        4. A folder will display with the text New folder highlighted. Type a new name for the folder. Press ENTER on your keyboard when finished.

        5. Click OK once the new folder is created. 
        6. The Directory field should fill in with the new path. 
      8. This folder is where estimate files will be sent upon export. Write this path down. You will need to enter it into the Estimate Uploader Tool. Do not change this path!
      9. Click OK to close the Machine Settings window. 


      Note:
      Keep in mind that as you export estimates from your system, the export folder/directory will grow in size and eventually impact the performance of your computer if you do not regularly maintain it by removing older files.

    To locate the export file destination:

    1. Open Comp-Est.
    2. Click Lookup.

    3. Choose System Setup from the Setup menu option.

    4. Click the Communication tab.

    5. The EMS Export Directory field will display the EMS export directory. Write this path down--you will need to enter it into the Estimate Uploader Tool. Do not change this path!
    6. If no path is listed: 
      1. Click the small button to the right of the empty field. 
      2. To browse to the correct directory (C:\CE95\Export), double-click C:\, then double-click CE95. Finally, double-click Export

      4. Click the X in the upper right corner of the System Setup window to close. 


    Note:
    Keep in mind that as you export estimates from your system, the export folder/directory will grow in size and eventually impact the performance of your computer if you do not regularly maintain it by removing older files.

      To locate the export file destination:

      1. Log in to Mitchell Connect.
      2. Click Jobs from the left side panel to access the jobs list. 
      3. Click a job to open it. 
      4. Click the estimate tile.

      5. Begin the estimate by adding a part. 
      6. Choose View Export Settings from the Export EMS drop-down.

      7. If this is your first time setting up Export EMS, you may be prompted to install Mitchell's Estimate Utility. If so: 
        1. Click Start Setup.

        2. Click Download to download the setup file.

        3. A prompt will display at the bottom of the browser, indicating the download is complete. Click the file (Google Chrome) or click Run (Microsoft Edge) to start the installation process. 
        4. If the Open File - Security Warning displays, click Run to begin the installation and allow it to complete.

        5. Once finished, the Export Settings window will display. Click Select Folder under Please set a destination folder in order to export EMS.

        6. Locate and select the folder on your computer or server where EMS files should be exported. Click OK.

        7. Click Save to store your EMS settings. 
      8. This folder is where estimate files will be sent upon export. Write this path down. You will need to enter it into the Estimate Uploader Tool. Do not change this path!

    • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

      To locate the export file destination:

      1. Open Mitchell Estimating.
      2. From the System Info menu option, choose Configuration, then Configure System Information.

      3. In the System Configuration window, click the Value Added Options tab.

      4. Check the EMS box and click OK to close the window. 
      5. Choose Preferences from the System Info menu option.

      6. In the Preferences window, click the Import/Export tab.

      7. Choose the EMS Import and Export option from the Operations section. 
      8. Check the Enable EMS Export box. The export directory will be listed in the EMS Export Directory field. Write this path down. You will need to enter it into the Estimate Uploader Tool. Do not change this path!
      9. Click OK to close the Preferences window.
    • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

      To locate the export file destination:

      1. Open Mitchell Repair Center.
      2. Click the Configuration button (7854_SetUpEMS33.jpg). 
      3. Click the Parts tab.
      4. Check the Use OEConnection box. 
        1. Note: If this does not display or cannot be checked, the shop must call Mitchell to turn the integration module on. 
      5. Type the CollisionLink Shop Username and Password
      6. Click Update.


      Once setup is complete, you must add dealers you want to do business with from the OEC Vendor List in Mitchell Repair Center.

    To locate the export file destination:

    1. The export and import paths are preconfigured by NexConnex and are unique on each system. Your shop's IT department should be able to provide the export path. 
    2. Write the export path provided down--you will need to configure this path into the Estimate Uploader Tool.
  • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

    Note: Shop Manager does not have a setup section for the EMS Export functionality. Follow the process in Step 2 below to configure the Estimate Uploader Tool. 

     

  • With a few simple steps, CollisionLink Shop can automatically import orders from your estimating system.

    Note: Web-Est users must have export functionality to send transactions to CollisionLink Shop. If the shop does not have this, they will be directed to purchase the EMS Communications package in the application. Once enabled, the setup process can be completed as outlined. Exporting will function correctly once this package is added. 

    Web-Est offers two options to import orders:

    • Use the Auto-Unzip functionality in conjunction with the CollisionLink Estimate Uploader Tool. (Follow the process below to set up.)
    • Use only the CollisionLink Estimate Uploader Tool. (Follow Step 2 to set up.)
    • To set up auto-unzip:

      1. Click Reports from the left-hand navigation in Web-Est.

      2. Choose EMS from the list of reports.

      3. Check the Auto-Unzip On box.

      4. A prompt will display. Click the link to Download EMS Unzip Downloader

      5. From your browser, open the downloaded file to begin the installation.

      6. The installation wizard will display. Click Next

      7. The installer will create a new folder for the program. Click Next to continue.

      8. Click Next to begin the installation.

      9. Once the download is finished, click Close to exit the wizard.

      10. A new window displays, showing the new folder where estimates will download. Write down this folder name. You will need to enter it into the Estimate Uploader Tool.

      11. Click the X in the upper right to close the window. 


      To create and set up the export file destination with the auto-unzip feature:

      1. Right-click the Estimate Uploader icon in the system tray and choose Add CollisionLink Import FolderNote: If the icon does not display in the system tray, the application needs to be launched.

      2. In the Folder Locations window, click Add.

      3. In the Browse For Folder window, locate the new EMSExport folder in the Windows (C:) drive. Click to highlight it and click OK

      4. This new export path will now display in the Folder Locations window.

      5. Click Save to complete the process. 


      You can now begin exporting estimates from Web-Est into CollisionLink Shop.


Step 2: Adding the Export Path to the Estimate Uploader Tool (EUT)

To configure the Estimate Uploader Tool to monitor the export path/directory: 

  1. Right-click on the Estimate Uploader Tool icon in the system tray and choose Add CollisionLink Import FolderNote: If the icon does not display in the system tray, the application needs to be launched.

  2. In the Folder Locations window, click Add.

  3. Use the File Explorer to locate the export path/directory you wrote down during Step 1 above. Click to highlight it and click OK.

  4. The chosen export path will display. When ready, click Save.

Once setup is complete, you can begin exporting estimates to CollisionLink Shop
